Improving data stewardship using performance management and continuous improvement
“I enjoy enabling people to live Lean in a safe environment.”
Jade Hudek cultivated her passion for continuous improvement in college and today continues to gain experience and understanding in the world of Lean thinking. Jade comes to Results Washington from the Washington Department of Health where she was a Division Lead Performance Management Consultant. During her time at DOH she led numerous continuous improvement projects and worked on transforming the agency’s culture and employees’ idea about what Lean really is.
“My personal mission is to contribute to whoever’s path I cross,” said Jade. “I enjoy enabling people to live Lean in a safe environment, and I love seeing their transformation and the return of joy to their work.”
With a degree from the University of Washington in Healthcare Leadership, Jade learned to change her work’s focus from physician-centered care to patient-centered care, an important lesson that carried over with her into state government.
Considered a GovStat power user, Jade brings a lot to the table including a passion for helping others and her strong understanding of how open data can affect people’s lives. “It’s amazing what it’s capable of, and how the public can see our data, results and all the great work being done,” she said.
Jade is driven to improve the lives of others, and making the workplace one that is joyful to be in. “This is an investment in my ability to pay it forward in the future. I want to share what I learn,” said Jade.
