Supporting the performance management and continuous improvement aspect of the goal council work
“I love to help people find their path through training and development.”
Rebecca Orbeck has been with the state for 9 years and joins the Results Washington Fellowship from the Washington Department of Licensing. Rebecca managed contracts for the Ignition Interlock Manufacturers, Commercial Driver’s License Third Party Examiners and the Motorcycle Safety Program. She led DOL’s ignition interlock reimbursement lean project where Rebecca and her team worked on reducing cost and streamlining processes. “Once you map out the steps it really gives you perspective on how big and potentially inefficient projects can be,” said Rebecca about discovering ways to make effective and measurable project improvements.
A recent recipient of her Master’s in Public Administration from The Evergreen State College, Rebecca now looks ahead to work with the performance measurement team and assessing the productivity of Results Washington’s goals and measures. “I am looking forward to having the opportunity to practice long-term big-picture ideas,” she said about her work as a Lean Fellow. “I love to help people find their path through training and development.”
Before working for the state Rebecca spent 4 years serving in the U.S. Navy and then went on to work for the Olympian for several years. She likes to bake when she can find the time and on the weekends loves to cheer for her favorite football team the Seattle Seahawks!
