Joining the Department of Enterprise Services as a Learning Design and Delivery Professional, Ellis' drive to impact the leaders of Washington State comes from their own experience managing teams and programs in the private and public sectors. With over fifteen years supervising union and non-represented employees in food service, telecommunications, and human resources, Ellis believes that we are all capable of great leadership when given the right tools and support.

Ellis' career includes work for non-profits, large corporations, and employment with four different state agencies, most recently at the Department of Licensing where they served as a Labor Relations & Special Projects Manager. They earned their Master's in Public Administration in 2016 from the Evergreen State College, completing their capstone in Organizational Development.
