Results Washington progress reports
Results Washington, founded in 2013 within the Office of the Governor, is Washington state’s performance system that integrates performance management, continuous improvement and cross-agency collaboration to achieve key goals and improve government effectiveness. Results Washington and its dozens of state agency partners are driving measurable improvements in five overarching goal areas:
- World-class education
- A prosperous economy
- Sustainable energy and a clean environment
- Healthy and safe communities
- Efficient, effective and accountable government
Each year we publish an annual report chronicling the progress Washington State agencies have made over the previous year in these goal areas. In addition in 2023 we started publishing quarterly reports documenting what Results Washington has done and is doing to support state agencies to measure, improve and sustain. Legislative Reports
Senate Bill 59501 directed Results Washington to review our state laws governing statewide performance management and to make recommendations for meaningful performance information and oversight. This report is published to fulfill those requirements, and to continue the state’s legacy of leadership in continuous improvement and performance management by identifying opportunities for a more cohesive and strategic statewide system.
