Danelle Guerin

Lean Fellow

Looking ahead:

Working on goal focused teams to improve specific measures and improve the lives of Washingtonians

“It is especially rewarding to partner with people and to see them develop both personally and professionally.”

Danelle Guerin has a self-driven desire to help others and is a certified life coach who considers herself an influencer with an ability to help people feel empowered in their work.

Joining the Results Washington team from the Department of Enterprise Services (DES), Danelle has a history of working closely with leadership on a variety of goals and projects.

“Working for DES has enhanced my exposure to problem-solving tools and given me some wonderful insight to state government operations.”

Before her time in state government, Danelle worked for the City of Tacoma and Tacoma Power where she gained a solid understanding of what it means to be a public servant. She was also a member of the Tacoma Public Utilities’ Community Connection Leadership Team which is a volunteer program that finds strategic opportunities for employees to give back to the community.

“I really love doing work that makes a difference in the community.”

Prior to working in local government, Danelle worked for several years as a recruiter for an employment consulting firm, specializing in key executive, management, and office support positions.

As a certified life coach, she has over two years of specialized training that helps her encourage and guide people to reach their potential and find fulfillment.

“Relationships are very important to me. It is especially rewarding to partner with people and to see them develop both personally and professionally. I’ve come to understand that people tend to limit themselves based on their beliefs and I try to empower them to go beyond their own expectations. If people know their worth and feel valued, they are able to really make a difference for themselves, their customers, and their work.”

Danelle is a proud mother of 4 children ranging in ages from 12 to 28. In her spare time, she loves to read, sing, dance, enjoy the outdoors, and spend time with family and friends.

She is solution-focused and loves to learn new concepts. She is looking forward to learning more about the Washington Lean methodology and how to apply it to her work of helping people.
